Task Force Formed at Narona Back
Don Bosco PYaR under the auspices of CREAM Project formed Task Force (Makkala Kaavalu Samithi) at Narona Gram Panchayat, Aland on February 24, 2015. “Today we pledge to protect the rights of children in and we would strive to create a child friendly atmosphere in our Gram Panchayat”, said Dasharath Patre, PDO, Narona Gram Panchayat, Aland during the inaugural address. Basavaraj Jawali, Social Activist, CREAM Project said that children should stand up for their rights and voice violations of child rights to appropriate authorities and CHILDLINE 1098.

Shivaraj Patil, In Charge Headmaster, Govt. High School, Narona opined that the organization is rendering yeomen services to children as the project team visited the school after the programme. One of the school children while interacting with the team said that one of the students from the school has been missing for more than a month. The team visited Narona Police Station and inquired about the status of the missing child and the police said that efforts are being made to trace the boy.

Sujatha Matapathi, Vice President, Gram Pranchayat, Narona, Mangala Naroni, Member, Zilla Panchayat, Kalaburgi, Mallikarjun, Member, Taluk Panchayat, Kalaburgi, Dr. Bannappa Patil, Department of Health, Kalaburgi, Shivaputrappa, Police Personnel, Police Station, Narona, Fr. Prasad SDB, Project Director, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalburgi, over eighty children, teachers and CREAM staff were present for the programme. Mapanna welcomed and compered the programme and Jyoti proposed vote of thanks.
