Training for SDMC members at Don Bosco Pyar, Gulbarga Back
A one-day training programme for the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) members of Gulbarga was held at Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga on 15 September 2014. “The SDMC plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a child friendly environment in every Government School”, said Master Philip, Coordinator, CREAM Project, Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga at the inaugural session.

The training programme on, ‘Role of SDMC in School Development and Administration’, began with an interactive session on Child Rights. The second session, ‘Roles and Responsibilities of SDMC’ was facilitated by Basavarj K.V, Social Activist, Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga. The third session, ‘CHILDLINE at the service of children in need of care and protection, was facilitated by Jyoti S.K, Counselor, CHILDLINE, Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga. Over thirty SDMC members from various Govt. Schools from the neighboring villages participated in the programme. Fr. Jaimon, Director, Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga, Fr. Prasad, Project Director, Don Bosco PYaR, Gulbarga and project staff members were present for the programme.
