Finale of Summer Camps at Kalaburagi Back
Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, organized a summer camp at Panegaon village, Kalaburagi, on May 16, 2015. “You have a great responsibility to bring back your friends who have dropped out of school. Because only through education we can move from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge” said Basavaraj Jawali, Social Activist, CREAM, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, addressing the participants at the valedictory function. Rajkumar Doddamani, Social Activist, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, Mapanna, Coordinator, Missing Child Bureau, Kalaburagi, Santhosh Tandoor, Team Memebr, CHILDLINE 1098, Kalaburagi and Mallikarjun Panegaon, Teacher, Remedial Education Centre, Panegaon were present for the programme.

Once day summer camps were conducted by the organization to bring children together during summer holidays to motivate and inculcate values in them through various creative activities and games. The sessions centered on leadership, teamwork, goal setting, motivation, etc. At the valedictory function of each camp, prizes were awarded to the winners.

The programme was a fitting finale for the series of summer camps conducted from April 10, 2015- May 16, 2015, in fifteen villages surrounding Kalaburagi, namely, Pattan, Zafrabad, Sharana Sirsagi, Bablad, Udnoor, Nandikoor Thanda, Rajapur, Savalgi, Rajapur Jopadipatti, Tarfile, Sharana Sirsagi, Sangolagi, Gondikere Thanda, Hagarga Thanda and Panegaon. Over 750 children benefitted from the summer camps.
