Training for SDMC Members Organized Back
A one-day training programme was organized for the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) members of Kalaburagi Taluk at Don Bosco PYaR, on September 30, 2015. The programme organized under the auspices of Child Rights Education and Action Movement (CREAM), was based on the theme, “Roles and Responsibilities of the SDMC”. Inaugurating the programme, Fr. George Kollashani, Director, Don Bosco IDEAL, said, “The SDMC has a crucial role to play in the education of children in the villages”. Addressing the gathering, Rayappa Reddy, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Kamalapur, Kalaburagi, said that the Department of Education has great expectations about the SDMC and it is the duty of everyone to rise up to optimum levels of performance for the betterment of their own children and that of the entire society.

Jyoti SK, Counselor, CHILDLINE, Kalaburagi exhorted the participants to avail the services of CHILDLINE for children in need of care and protection. Over forty SDMC members and project staff participated in the programme. Ramesh Wagdargi compered the programme, Renuka welcomed and Jyoti SK proposed the vote of thanks.
