Children’s Day Celebration At School For Visually Challenged Back
Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi in collaboration with CHILDLINE 1098 celebrated children’s day at School for the Visually Challenged, Kalaburagi, on November 18, 2015. “Children, aim high and maximize your potential. Let nothing constrain you”, said Tippanna Sirsagi, DCPO & CDPO, Kalaburagi, in the inaugural address. Anandraj, Director, Margadarshi Society, Kalaburagi, exhorted the children to fight for their rights fearlessly. Irene Lobo, Domestic Workers Union, Kalaburagi told the children that winners are people who go beyond their constraints to achieve the seemingly impossible.

Vital Chikani, Member, CWC, said that the Government has set in place various machinery and statutory bodies to protect and promote the rights of children. Every responsible person of the civil society has the bound duty to ensure that the systems function effectively and transparently with accountability. Chandrakala, NCLP, Kalaburagi, Fr. Prasad SDB, Project Director, Don Bosco, Kalaburagi, Venkatesh Deshpande, Director, School for the Visually Challenged, Kalaburagi and Jyoti SK, CHILDLINE, Kalaburagi, spoke on the occasion.

Over thirty five children and staff were present for the programme. Ramesh Wagdargi compered, Sudha Pala welcomed and Santhosh Tandoor proposed the vote of thanks.
