Cycle Rally To Mark World Child Rights Day Back
CHILDLINE, Kalaburagi organized a cycle rally at Kamalapur, as part of ‘CHILDLINE Se Dosti Week’, to mark world child rights day. Dayanand Patil, In Charge Tahsildar, Kamalapur, flagged off the rally from Govt. High School Grounds. Addressing the gathering, he said, “Dream children, dream. You should have lofty goals in life and imitate great personalities like APJ Abdul Kalam who overcame all odds to fulfil his dream”. All the participants repeated the child rights protection oath pronounced by the Tahsildar. Lourd Mary, Member, Juvenile Justice Board, Kalaburagi, said that children should stand up for their own rights and avail the services of the mechanisms and structures established for the protection and promotion of child rights.

“Knowledge of child rights, safety measures to avoid child sexual abuse is a need of the times. Programmes of the sort would create awareness and good will in the collective psyche of the civil society”, opined Vandana, Headmistress, Govt. High School, Kamalapur. KM Patil, Principal, Govt. PU College, Kamalapur, and Fr. Prasad, Project Director, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, spoke on the occasion.

Chandrashekhar, ASI, Kamalapur, Basavaraj Tengli, District Coordinator, CHILDLINE, Kalaburagi, Sundar, Coordinator, Margadarshi Society, Mallappa Rajaoor, Coordinator, CHILDLINE, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, students and teachers from Chamundeshwari High School, Kamalapur, Govt. Girls’ School, Kamalapur and Govt. High School, Kamalapur, participated in the programme.
