Don Bosco Inter-Village Cultural Fest Organized at Kalaburagi Back
Don Bosco Inter-village Cultural Fest was organized at St. Mary’s Auditorium, Kalaburagi, to mark the feast of St. John Bosco, on January 29, 2016. “Although I have attended various functions and celebrations, this programme, involving so many poor and marginalized children was a unique experience for me”, said Dattatreya Patil Revoor, MLA, South Zone, Kalaburagi. Addressing the gathering, James Menezes, Circle Inspector, Ashok Nagar, said that great people are simple people and that children should inculcate this quality from childhood. “The organization is doing commendable service for the children in need of care and protection”, said Rt. Rev. Dr. Robert Miranda, Bishop, Kalaburagi.

Sajith George SDB, Executive Director, Don Bosco, Kalaburagi, Mallikarjun Duttrugaon, Chairperson, CWC, Kalaburagi, Tippanna Sirsagi, DCPO & CDPO, Urban, Kalaburagi, Pappamma Habalkar, CDPO, Rural, Kalaburagi and Sr. Irene Lobo, Domestic Workers Union, Kalaburagi, spoke on the occasion. Anandraj, Director, Margadarshi Society, Kalaburagi, Vital Chikani, Member, CWC, Kalaburagi, Shivanand Kattimani, Member, CWC, Kalaburagi, Sr. Lourd Joseph, Member, JJB, Kalaburagi, Shivasharanappa Koreppa, President, District Child Rights Club, Kalaburagi, Chaitra, Vice President, District Child Rights Club, Kalaburagi and Fr. Prasad SDB, Project Director, Don Bosco, Kalaburagi were present.

Over 350 children from eleven villages and two rehabilitation centers and staff participated in the programme. Jyoti SK and Sudha Pala compered, Mallappa Rajoor welcomed and Mapanna Holker proposed the vote of thanks.
