Inter-Village Cultural Fest Celebrated at Kalaburagi Back
Don Bosco Inter-village cultural fest was organized at St. Mary’s Auditorium, Kalaburagi on January 31, 2015. Addressing the gathering at the valedictory function, Amit Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kalaburagi, said, “I am proud to say that I am an alumni of Don Bosco School, Patna. I congratulate everyone in the organization for the self-sacrificing work and request them to reach out to the remote areas in the district that require social upliftment and transformation”. Fr. Sunil Andrade, Manager, St. Mary’s Educational Institutions, Kalaburagi exhorted the participants to make maximum utilization of the opportunities provided by the organization for integral human development.

Cultural Competitions
The one-day cultural fest began with Don Bosco Quiz 2015, aimed at helping children to learn more about the life and works of Don Bosco, father and friend of youth. The cultural completion included fancy dress, group song and group dance. The winners were awarded prizes at the valedictory function.

Website Launched
It was a dream come true for the organization as Amit Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kalaburagi, launched the official website, www.donboscopyar.org. The information available on the website would include details about the organization, projects, services provided, news and events.

Fr. Jaimon, Director, Don Bosco PYaR, Kalaburagi, Divya Sara Thomas, IPS, Karnataka Cadre, Mallikarjun Dutrugaon, Chairperson, CWC, Vital Chikani, Member, CWC, Anandraj, Director, Margadarshi, Shivasharanappa, President, District Child Rights Club, Kalaburagi, Jagadevi, Vice President, District Child Rights Club, Kalaburagi, Fr. Prasad SDB, Project Director, Don Bosco, over 350 children from 14 villages and two rehabilitation centers and project staff were present for the programme. Basavaraj Jawali compered, Sudha Pala welcomed and Deepashree proposed the vote of thanks.
